Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
- Battery Check: Replace batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) orientation.
- Line of Sight: Ensure nothing is blocking the path between remote and TV's IR receiver.
- Distance Test: Move closer to the TV (within 10 feet) and test remote functionality.
- Sensor Check: Point remote directly at TV's IR sensor, typically located at the bottom center of the screen.
- Phone Camera Test: Point remote at phone camera and press buttons - you should see a light flashing in the camera view.
- Power Cycle: Unplug TV from power for 2 minutes, then reconnect and test remote.
- Factory Reset: As last resort, perform factory reset on TV (note: this will erase all settings).
